2015 Big League Baseball Camp

To all WBC Juniors at Westgarth Baseball Club,

I’m David Green from Australian Diamonds Sports, and following the successful MLB Opening Sydney Series and the evident growth of our Sport in Australia, I’m thrilled to be announcing our 2015 Big League Baseball Camp.  This camp, being held January 9th – 15th on the Gold Coast is the only one of its kind in Australia.  It is a full residential camp designed specifically for 12-15 year olds that want to improve their game.

Australian Diamonds was started to fill a void in the market for all young baseball players wanting to improve their skills and play at a higher level.  We are baseball fans endeavoring to assist in the growth of the sport at a grass roots level here in Australia, by providing opportunities that are normally only offered in more developed baseball playing nations.

Our camp is designed to improve playing ability, communication skills and build confidence in the junior ball player.  Most importantly though, we aim to promote baseball in Australia, and help in retaining players.  Through the vehicle of baseball, we hope to help campers understand the value of teamwork and its importance in life.

We want the kids in this camp to leave having had the time of their lives, with memories that they’ll cherish.  We want our players to get better, and fall in love with the game if they haven’t already.  The 2015 Big League Camp may even re-kindle the love for the game that some once had.

Now, this isn’t a camp for the elite player.  We know that representative baseball and high-level tournaments cater to better players.  Instead, our camp is for everyone, and our goal is to offer something that is not available to the average player.

Our instructors are of very high quality, with many having either played professionally in the US, or having represented Australia on the global stage. We’ve worked hard to secure this expertise, and we believe that the level and quality of our instruction is unparalleled to anything available in Australia.

Accommodation has been arranged at the recently renovated world-class Tallebudgera Active Recreation Centre.  Baseball activities will be conducted at local Gold Coast baseball facilities, including Palm Meadows and Alleygators Baseball Complex, home of the Australian Academy and the National Little League Championships, respectively.

In keeping to our values of ensuring that the sport is accessible and available to as many as possible, we have worked hard to keep the costs affordable. $649 for a 7-day residential camp with this level of professional instruction and standards of accommodation is unheard of; even in the USA.

We also know that you, as parents and coaches, also look for ways to improve your baseball instruction know-how.  With this in mind, we are also extending an invitation for your junior coaches to participate on a volunteer basis if they wish.

Please see the attached copy of our flyer, which includes more information about the camp and facilities.  We kindly invite you to extend an invitation to all of your junior members to attend this exciting event by forwarding on this email.

Feel free to post the flyer on your website as well.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Kindest regards,
